Telugu Language
Telugu is a Dravidian language spoken primarily in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh and the Yanam district of the Union Territory of Puducherry by the Telugu people. It is also spoken in the neighboring states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Odisha, as well as by significant communities of Telugu speakers in other parts of India and around the world. It is also one of the 22 official languages of India and the official language of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Note that Telugu is written from left to right.
History of Telugu
The history of the Telugu language can be traced back to the 5th century AD, with the earliest written records of the language appearing in the form of inscriptions on copper plates and stone monuments. The early history of Telugu is closely linked to the rise of the Andhra kingdom in the region, which was ruled by the Satavahana dynasty. During this period, the Telugu language and literature began to flourish, with many poets and scholars contributing to its development.
During the medieval period, the Telugu language and literature continued to flourish under the patronage of the Eastern Chalukya, Kakatiya, and Vijayanagara empires. It was during this time that many classic Telugu works such as the "Andhra Mahabharatam" and "Sri Krishnadevaraya Andhra Bhasha Bhushanam" were written.
In the modern era, the Telugu language has undergone significant changes and developments. During the 19th and 20th centuries, many Telugu scholars and writers made significant contributions to the language, including the famous lexicographer and scholar, Gidugu Venkata Ramamoorty, who wrote the first Telugu-Telugu dictionary. Today, Telugu is a widely spoken and written language, with a rich literary tradition and an active community of poets, writers, and scholars.

Translate vs Transliterate
Translation refers to the process of converting written text from one language to another while preserving the meaning of the original text. Translation involves converting the words and phrases of a text from one language to their equivalents in another language, taking into account the context and cultural differences between the languages.
Transliteration, on the other hand, refers to the process of converting written text from one script (alphabet or writing system) to another, while preserving the sounds of the original text. Transliteration involves converting the letters and characters of a text from one script to their equivalents in another script, without necessarily preserving the meanings of the words.
For instance, the Telungu equivalent of the English phrase "Hello, how are you?" is "హలో, ఎలా ఉన్నారు?" This translation keeps the original phrase`s meaning. On the other hand, the English phrase "Hello, how are you?" can be transliterated into the Telungu alphabet as "హలో, హౌ అర్ యు?", which preserves the sounds of the original phrase but not necessarily it`s meaning.
Translation and transliteration are both useful tools for helping people communicate and understand written text in different languages and scripts. However, they serve different purposes and involve different approaches to converting written text.
